AJ Addison

Greetings, everyone! Welcome to my honors portfolio. My name is Adolphus (AJ) Addison, a fourth year at the University of Cincinnati and an aspiring biomedical engineer. My undergraduate journey is guided by a commitment to exploring engineering and how I can make an impact on others.

My degree choice was determined through my passion for biomedical engineering. Rooted in my desire to help others, I am pursuing a career in make a meaningful impact on lives. In high school, I dedicated considerable time to supporting my community, volunteering for various initiatives, and mentoring peers to foster growth and resilience. These experiences instilled in me a deep sense of purpose and strengthened my reason to pursue a field where science and compassion intersect.

As an honors scholar, I am excited to immerse myself in the cultural enrichment and transformative opportunities offered by the University Honors Program (UHP). Outside of academics, I find joy and balance in activities such as soccer, running, hiking, reading, and listening to music. Within this website, I have showcased my experiences within the honors program and trips to the great outdoors.

Additionally, I remain committed to uplifting my community through active participation in organizations like the National Society of Black Engineers where I strive to empower my peers and cultivate an environment of shared success and innovation.
